NWALT is grateful to announce a new partnership with Cornell Lab of Ornithology, Northwest Arkansas Master Naturalists, and Northwest Arkansas Audubon Society to create a Restorative Birding Program in Northwest Arkansas!
Restorative birding is an accessible way of birding which places focus on mindful interactions with birds and nature. While it’s a whole lot of fun to add species to our life lists, Restorative Birding emphasizes connection with nature through mindfully observing bird behavior, and careful consideration of our own connections to nature, others, and ourselves.
This year-long program is funded in part by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology’s Land Trust Bird Conservation Initiative. Stay tuned for more details!
