NWALT Welcomes Brittney Booth as Land Stewardship Coordinator

We were excited to announce last month that Brittney Booth has joined the land trust team as our new Land Stewardship Coordinator. The position, previously held by Renee Sniegocki who was promoted earlier this year, oversees boots-on-the-ground land management and habitat restoration efforts. Additionally, Brittney will serve as NWALT’s principal conservation easement monitor, working with landowners who have entrusted NWALT with the permanent protection of their lands.

Brittney began her journey at the land trust as a land stewardship intern in 2020. Since then, Brittney has worked with NWALT on special projects and worked two seasons as a seasonal botanist and restoration specialist at Wilson Springs Preserve and Westside Prairie.

I'm thrilled to finally have the opportunity to be a part of such a great team.”

Brittney holds a Masters in Biology from the University of Arkansas and in addition to working with NWALT has worked at the U of A Herbarium, surveyed plants in Arkansas and Kansas, and was a Teacher Naturalist at Ozark Natural Science Center.
